CURRICULUM VITAE
Maria K. Pasioti MD, PhD
Pediatric and Adult Allergist
PhD from the University of Athens

My 1st contact with the Medical Science
I was born in Athens, to a bookseller father and a doctor mother, to whom I owe, among other things, my love for reading and medicine, respectively. Shortly before I started elementary school, we moved to Atalanti, Phthiotis, where I spent my school years, completing my secondary education with honors and a grade of 19/20.
I returned to Athens to study Medicine at the University of Athens. That's where I first came into contact with Allergology and Clinical Immunology, a wonderful and mysterious world that captivated me from the very first moment. I graduated in 2004 with a grade of “Very Good”, and after completing my field service in the beautiful town of Oreoi, in Northern Evia (2004-2005), I was trained in Pediatrics at the Pediatric Clinics of the General Hospital of Lamia (2006-2007) and the General Hospital of Veria (2008-2009).

Doctoral Dissertation and Scholarships
After completing my specialization training, I completed a doctoral dissertation at the Allergy Unit of the 2nd Pediatric Clinic of the University of Athens (2018-2024) having as subject “A comparative study of nut introduction protocols in the diet of patients with nut allergy”, for which I received scholarships from the Hellenic Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (HSACI) and from the Hellenic State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) scholarship program for doctoral candidates at Greek universities. I was awarded a doctorate from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with an Honorary Grade.
